Kent 1969 where Mogul U-class 2-6-0 No.31618 (2nd loco rescued from Barry scrapyard) seen near Maidstone, followed by first of two journeys to Ashford Steam Centre where there is a strong South Eastern & Chatham representation.
Bridgnorth 1965 at beginning of Severn Valley Rly followed by scenes of early days of workings to Hampton Loade featuring Nos. 46443, 3205, 8233, 43106 + GWR railcar 22.
Many ex-GWR pannier tanks found a new commercial working life after BR + visits are made to see them on London Transport (No.L92) + on NCB at Coventry (No.1502), Merthyr Vale (No.9600) + Mountain Ash (No.7754) collieries.
South Wales NCB sites seen are Hafodyrynys, Celynen South, Brynlliw + Maesteg.
Although not steam, another system of interest to enthusiasts visited at end 1969 was 'Woodhead' electrified system from Manchester to Sheffield Victoria.
Dart Valley Rly May 1970 with its first ever through trains from BR network - LCGB with Prairie No.4555 + Pannier No.1638 other one by lan Allan with 0-4-2T No.1420 + No.1638.
Further locations inc Quainton Road, Bulmer's at Hereford, Carnforth, Tyseley + Bluebell Rly on occasion of their 10th anniversary.

Visit last entirely steam-worked terminus in Paris at Gare-de-la-Bastille using 2-8-2 tanks December 1969, near Boissy + Vincennes.
A trip organised to North Germany by LCGB in April 1970 + incs Lingen (with a visit to loco works) + Emden.
Motive power features double-headed 011 Pacifics, Nos. 012, 023 + even an 082 0-10-0 tank.
