This is the programme from the week Cork City nearly died. The club committee's page is headed A NEW BEGINNING and opens: 'After the trauma of the last couple of weeks, when the club was almost put out of existence, it is nice to get back to what it should be all about - A GAME OF FOOTBALL.' It continues: 'But of course it's much more than just a game of football. The running of a professional club is a most expensive exercise - expensive in time, and of course, financially. We have got together a group of people who intend to put Cork City F.C. back on its feet. We need to get a lot more people involved, to share the workload and of course to provide the necessary funding... Also of course we need many more people to attend our home games, buy a programme and support us in our fundraising.'

It thanks Guinness and Adidas for standing by the club, and Vince Cummins and his Munster FA colleagues 'for their co-operation and understanding during this period and their willingness to help'. A notice at the foot of the page advertises a supporters' bus to the FAI Cup tie away to Home Farm/Everton, leaving from St Patrick's Church on the Lower Glanmire Road.
