Manager DAVE BARRY writes three weeks after a second trophy: 'Hello and welcome back to Turners Cross for the first time since Christmas and our terrific League Cup win over Shamrock Rovers. It's great to have the first domestic trophy of the season safely tucked away but today we are back to the main business of Championship football and they do not come much bigger than the defending champions, St. Patrick's Athletic here at the ‘Cross. I hope the happy memories of that League Cup victory will stay with everyone for years to come as it reminded me of when I was a young boy going to the CORK CELTIC and CORK HIBS games in the past and those memories are still with me.'

He measures his side against the champions: 'Over the last two years, under PAT DOLAN and now LIAM BUCKLEY they have set the standards and it is up to us to try and match them if not better them before the TV cameras today and prove that we are the best team in the country.' And on the weather: 'For the last two weeks up in Monaghan for the Cup and in Ballybofey for the drawn game with Finn Harps we had to cope with snow, ice and slush.'
