Chairman Nial O'Reilly's 'Through the Chair' welcomes the Rovers party after a long, wet winter and thanks the Galway Shopping Centre for its backing. Manager TONY MANNION writes 'From the Dugout' and is generous about the opposition — RAY TREACY 'has transformed Rovers into serious title challengers by playing attractive, flowing football' — while ruing a heavy pitch and two freak goals in the defeat at Cork the previous Sunday.
