Details: This is the long-awaited autobiography by Irish cycling legend Sean Kelly. Sean tells the story of his cycling career in his own words for the first time. After discovering a talent for cycling, he slowly realised that the sport could be his escape route from a life spent working on the farm. Spotted by the intimidating, inimitable directeur sportif Jean de Gribaldy, Sean went to France and turned professional. He won a stage of his first Tour de France in 1979 and established a reputation as a fast, if occasionally reckless, sprinter. Soon he developed into one of the best riders in the world and won almost everything there was to win. He won Paris-Roubaix, Liege-Bastogne-Liege and Milan-San Remo twice, earning himself the nickname King Kelly. His record seven consecutive victories in Paris-Nice is unlikely to be challenged and in 1988 he added a grand tour, the Vuelta a Espana, to his incredible list of victories. By the time he retired, he was widely respected as one of the greatest bike racers of all-time and one of the sport's toughest competitors. With a foreword by 2012 Tour de France champion Bradley Wiggins and an afterword by 1984 king of the mountains Robert Millar.
