The title run-in, and club secretary Colm Murphy's editorial is a small comic masterpiece about not daring to count it: 'Twelve points clear with four games remaining and a goal difference 25 better off than our nearest challengers. Of course, it's true that Cork City can still catch Dundalk on goal difference… I want to win the league cleanly — not have this lingering "what if Cork win their four games 10-0 and we lose all of our games" feeling. I know it's over, but it's a bit like scoring the winning goal in a World Cup Final that you are 100% convinced is legit but having to wait for a VAR review, or seeing your numbers come up for the Lotto but not being sure where you put the ticket.'

He also covers the shock departure of LIAM BUCKLEY from St Patrick's Athletic, praises their young players Lee Desmond and Darragh Markey, and regrets the refusal of St Pat's stadium plans.
