From the FIRST SEASON of the Setanta Cup — the cross-border competition between clubs from the League of Ireland and the Irish League, launched in 2005. The cover carries both governing bodies' crests, the Irish Football Association and the FAI, side by side, which is what makes these early Setanta Cup programmes worth having: a Dublin-organised competition and a Belfast one sharing a cover. Linfield of Windsor Park are the visitors.

Longford Town were reigning FAI Cup holders when this was printed, having won the cup in 2003 and again in 2004 and the League Cup in 2004 — the club's peak. The directory names Alan Mathews as manager with Aaron O'Callaghan assisting, Noel White coaching and Gary Mathews on goalkeepers, with Noel Treacy editing and Annette Corkery designing.
